Solar Still

The Solar Still Project provides a sustainable method for purifying polluted water. It involves using solar and thermal energy to evaporate water out of a contaminated mixture. As a team, we are working to achieve the following with our project:

  • Evaporate clean water from polluted water
  • Extract/collect clean water
  • Provide a consistent input of dirty water
  • Keep costs and maintenance low for public benefit

    Performed three experiments. Currently obtaining materials to increase evaporation rate and working on design to increase condensation efficiency.
